Minutes from July 15th , 2006 –  Meeting before coaches meeting

Present: Paul Belisle, Ed Russo, Bob Leno, Scott Rieder, Bob Meyers, Chuck Hamilton, Steve Provost, John Hannon, Andrew Collari

Absent: Brooke Cussin, Tom Jacobs

Meeting called to order at  

 

OLD BUSINESS

Paul -  slight change in new positions; Ed Russo will handle equipment for travel teams; Andrew for U6/U8. 

NEW BUSINESS

 

Paul –  Wanted to ensure all members were happy in their new assignments.

   Andrew has a trailer key and will make a copy for Ed.

               Ed/Andrew will contact Kathy for rosters to re-inventory uniforms.

 

Bob M. – May need a U14 coach.  Unsure if Pete is coaching this season.

                  U10s – U14s each 2 teams – U12s are getting tight on numbers.

Bob L. – In need of a U12 coach.

Andrew -  Finding U6 / U8 coaches.  Preparing a handbook for coaches, and discussed clinics. 

                     Preparing for 10 games.

 

John  -  Paul to email Chuck information about the U10 WAYSA refereeing clinics.

 

Steve –  discussed layouts of fields for the Fall and how many were needed. 

                  4 teams (U14s) at Rochdale.     9 teams at Memorial (7v7)

                  He will order flags and equipment.

                  Discussed using MAROON paint instead of ORANGE.  Heard it worked well for other towns.

                  Burncoat field was to be discussed at Thursdays Parks and Rec meeting.

                  Discussed remote storage issue – use a type of Job Box?  Make a wooden One?  Needs to be watertight

                  for paint striper, paint, flags, potentially pinnies.

 

Scott – Discussions about using Mumby or Footopia for foot skills clinics. 

                Needs to find sponsors by mid-August.

                Over 30 last season drained the club due to club members participating. 

                This season, everyone pays $50 and uses Tshirt from last year if they have it.

 

Chuck – Asked for additional items on website.  Notice about registrations filling up…teams filling.

                  John’s notice about U10 WAYSA ref classes.

 

Ed – Informed about Italy trip.  Wanted to discuss running a tournament.  Can get Italian and club teams.

          Discussed possibility of Memorial Day weekend, and possible field locations.

 

Paul – WAYSA needs a patch.  Discussion arose as to a logo design.
