Minutes from January 5th , 2006 – Happy New Year!

Present: Paul Belisle, Bob Leno,  Scott Rieder, Kathy Boilard, Bob Meyers, Chuck Hamilton, Steve Provost,  John Hannon, Tom Jacobs

Meeting called to order at 7:36 PM

OLD BUSINESS

Kathy - ordered #4 balls and socks. 

Issue with model of Diadora uniform we have no longer being made to order replacements.

Logo contest will be tabled for later in Spring to get ready for Fall season

               Shirts inventoried.  Much better turn-in rate with numbered roster turn-in.

Paul - stated registrations were good.

NEW BUSINESS

Tom  -    Indoor U6/U8 tournament went well for U6-U8.  Discussed possibly doing every year.

Asked Chuck to post item on website for need of U6/U8 coaches. 

John –  No new status on refereeing. 

*Did receive email during month about Mario P. potentially doing a class.

Kathy – Issue on getting new shirts for the coaches for the Spring.

Paul – Mass Youth looking to make deals on coaching classes – 5 members free if sponsor class

·        Discussion held on licensing needs.  “E” is 2 day.

                              Should talk to other towns. (Talk to Spencer if they will co-sponsor)

·        Email received from Challenger Sports regarding class – 08/14 – 08/18 ?

o       Discussion on 2 free clinics which they promise.  Paul to email Tom regarding these.

·        X Glaxus USA – Sponsorship?   Declined.

·        Joe’s Party / Valentine’s Dance.  Back on website…back on LCAC.  Thank you to Scott for finding a new DJ. – Feb.10^th (subsequently moved to 18^th) Chips, munchies, snacks.  Must be over 21.

Steve –

•              Nets still down at Rochdale. Need to get down there and remove nets and move goals

             before baseball season.

•              Port-a-Johns were taken away.

•              Discussion held on corner flags.

•              Asked about grouping referees by 8v8 / 11v11 so that nets will not need to be moved.

•              We paid $625 for Rochdale lights.  $25/night….brought up idea of keycard access.

•              Questioned field size of 8v8

•              Discussion of fields for Spring – High School field, Community, Nicas…

Bob L. – Discussed registrations needing to be in since we are not going to track down players

 from past seasons.  All premier players must be marked with a * on registrations.

 Discussed the U12 boys 8v8 versus 11v11 teams.

Scott –

·        Financial report.

·        Pointed out funds from the Uniroyal program

·        Motion on floor: Donate money to High School Yearbook and Highschool Play?

o       Vote taken – unanimously voted on to buy ¼ page ads in both.
