Minutes from July 18th, 2004

 

Present: Steve Provost, Joe Roberts, Bob Leno, Scott Rieder,  Arleen Stevens, Tom Jacobs, Chuck Hamilton, Kathy Boilard, Paul Belisle.

Absent: Bob Meyers, John Hannon

 

·         Meeting called to order at 8:00 PM

 

OLD BUSINESS

NEW  BUSINESS

• Board positions were selected:
  • President – J. Roberts
  • V.P. – B. Leno (both Bob Leno and Bob Meyers were running for the position)
  • Treasurer – S. Rieder (second year of two term position)
  • Secretary – T. Jacobs
  • Boy’s Coordinator – B. Leno
  • Girl’s Coordinator – A. Stevens
  • PeeWee Coordinator – B. Meyers (assisted by T. Jacobs)
  • Field Coordinator – S. Provost (Field Coordinator will now be responsible for purchasing and managing field supplies such as corner flags, goals, paint for field, etc.)
  • Referee Coordinator – J. Hannon
  • Equipment Manager – K. Boilard (assisted by C. Hamilton)
  • Website Coordinator – C. Hamilton
  • Special Events Coordinator – T. Jacobs
• Ideas for Jamboree for the next Spring Season were discussed.  Possibly get assistance from a committee of non-board members.
• Recommendation for a new board position.  The “Player Representative” would such items as coordinating clinics, injury follow-up, game and/or coaches issue.
• Joe reminded all board members that meeting would be held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30PM at the Knights of Columbus.
• Registering coaches now requires a CORI check.  Here is the blurb from the MYSA site:

“Our plan is to do a CORI check on all adults this year and then to put all organizations on a three-year staggered cycle while continuing to process new volunteers.

KIDS SAFE FORMS NO LONGER NEED TO BE SUBMITTED TO MASS YOUTH SOCCER.”

·         Soccer Trac is no loner being used.  New software is being evaluated by…?
